Useful Twitter Commands

Twitter is without a doubt one of the fastest growing web application that we have seen the last couple of years. You might be using Twitter to communicate and share content, but did you know that Twitter has some pretty cool commands which you can pass on to the 'Twitter Post Box' to perform certain actions? For example Twitter has a 'WHOIS' command using which you can find the profile of any Twitter user.

To make use of the command, just type 'WHOIS username' replace username with the username you want to find information for and hit the 'update' button.

More Twitter Commands :
  • FOLLOW username
    this command allows you to start following a specific user.
  • LEAVE username
    this command allows you to stop following a specific user.
  • GET username
    retrieves the latest Twitter update posted by the person.
  • FAV username
    marks a person's last twitter as a favorite.
  • @username + message
    directs a twitter at another person, and causes your twitter to save in their "replies" tab.
  • WHOIS username
    retrieves the profile information for any public user on Twitter.
